On Thursday the 24th of March 2016 I completed the WeetBix Tryathlon at Ongley In Palmerston North. If you did not know what a Weetbix Tryathlon is it is a huge event that runs all around New Zealand. It is a swim, a bike, and a run. This event is sponsored by THE HITS ( radio station) ,Asics (makes sports shoes),Anchor(milk),Haier(makes kitchen appliances).
Unfortunately the rain was not in our favor but after a while it started to settle and the Tryathlon was awesome.
My favorite part about the Triathlon was the run.Because you felt a awesome sensation in your legs for the first time in forever I didn't feel tired at all and I did I kept pushing myself.
My least favorite part was the swim because when I started I had a plan that I was going to do backstroke but then it all turned to custard. I got about halfway and then I realized that I was getting tired so I asked for a flutter board and looked up and turned my whole body around. To look up and caught my breath and then I started to kick again. After I got to the end I hopped out of the pool.
After the try I hung out with my mates Jaykib Dun and Jack Bassett we went to all the stalls and all the tents. I got a snow cone and some slap bands that had the name of the sponsor Anchor and some other stuff too.
I can't wait till the next WeetBix Tryathlon next year,

HURRICANES!!!!
HURRICANES!!!!
Yesterday the Hurricanes came to our school and hung out with us for a block. It was so amazing!
It felt like it was not real, like I was on tv.We were sitting in the hall, the whole school was there when finally Mr R announced that we needed to give a huge cheer for the Hurricanes! I felt a wave of excitement as they were entering the hall. People cheered in excitement.A couple of minutes later the Rippa team where having a game green bibs vs the yellow bibs and the hurricanes were coaching them! then after the rippa team had there games the Hurricanes did some jump jam with us.
Why were the Hurricanes here?
The Hurricanes were here because a little girl in the junior syndicate entered us in the competition after the Hurricanes did some stuff with the girls class they did some spelling and reading with the class. I was a little bit jealous.

My Favourite Place To Learn In GRi11 2.0
This year in our class we have been learning about Hauora. Hauora means wellbeing in Maori. Hauora has helped us design our learning spaces for the year.
There are endless learning spaces in GRi11, including the hub, the hang out, the hide out, and the hall of fame.
The hide out is where Lisa works and does the touch and cricket uniforms and it is also where the safe is where all the computers are kept. If you want to work in there you must be silent.
The hang out is where you can go if you want to talk with someone about your learning.
The hall of fame is basically a passage through to room 10 but just a cooler name for it.
The space I enjoy the most is the table next to the fridge in the hub.
My favourite spot on that table is the side that has the window and by the wall. I get kind of isolated and work hard when ever I'm in that spot. I just helps me immensely in terms of working. If I need help usually Joonoh or Terado or Hyacinthe sit beside me or in front on the other side and I always seem to accomplish my work when I am over there and plus I am close to the teacher so I can hear if the class is stopped for whatever reason.
