Dear future self I'm am currently a year six in a class called GRi11 2.0. Things that I would like to remember about my being a year six in this class is my awesome teachers and how I moved up in maths from stage six to stage seven. And I would also like to remember all the times I used to cross my fingers, toes, legs, eyes, and hope that I would get a go for gold in the go for gold draw.

I would like to remember my teachers Mr R and Mrs Gordon they are spectacular teachers with a fun side as well not many people you will find today have a fun side.

I would also like to remember my friends Ashwin, Jaykib,Seth,Carter,Hyacinthe My highlights of year six are the time when had shared lunches and the pajama day were we got into a group and made dance whilst in pajamas. Things I would also like to remember is the 3D printing and how I made a balloon powered car and headphone

In My Weekend

In the weekend I went to stay with my dad.I did a lot of awesome things with my dad like my dads friend gave me a drone because he wanted one for fishing but it was not he one he was looking for. Once he opened it so he gave to me.And me and dad went outside for a walk to get some fresh air and came back.My dad also gave me some big marbles to add to my collection. Now I have two ice cream containers full to the top of marbles.Me and dad played PlayStation and then I went home...

My rap

Gri11 2.0 it’s some place where we learn everyday in a different way
Mrs Gordon Mr Robertson there the best teachers ever I guess that's why we're so clever

TTS is a thing of the past in this day in age the internet is fast

In Gri11 2.0 where are not just workers but life long learners

GRi11 2.0 are a funny bunch but don’t be fooled we pack a punch

Working together some call it Collaboration in my opinion it’s helping me get my graduation
Every day is a good day good or bad ain't nobody got time to be mad

When times get hard and where in the learning pit
We are never gonna quit because we
Are GRI11 2.0

This is a rap that I made (GRi11 2.0 is the name of my class)

Bees Argument

BEES
The bee is an extraordinary creature so how can we prevent it from becoming extinct?

First of all the bee does not just make delicious honey but they help our environment immensely.
It is amazing because the bee is unable to see red so the bee uses ultraviolet
light to see colours. The bee uses her straw like tongue to suck up liquid, called nectar. In a special small stomach called a honey sack.
The bee walks all over the flower and gets covered in golden dust this is called pollen. She rolls the pollen into balls and then into a basket then puts them on its back legs. Then returns home with her baskets.
Bee pollen is often referred to as nature's pollen. In fact without bees we humans would have not much more years to live.

How can we prevent the bee and the honey bee from becoming extinct?.Well we need to take action so we can save the extinction of bees. The solution is we need to have enough flowers so bees can keep pollinating and keep at work with there every daily routine which would be getting the pollen and making honey.

Humans are also part of this because bees are dying. humans are using pesticides called neonicotinoids are not only killing the bees but its is extremely difficult for crops to grow. The Varroa mite which is a parasite that attacks bees. They lay eggs inside the bees breathing tubes so that they are unable to breathe hence they die this Called Colony Collapse Disorder or (CCD)

After you read this I hope you understand that bees are important to humans and that we need to keep them from extinction and if you don't believe watch a bee outside and watch the cycle of the average bee.

Fathers Day...

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY DAD.
We had just turned into Turakina beach as the sign read. We drove through the sandy road that almost looked like it perfectly fitted the car. To my left I saw plants that looked like they were guarding something, maybe a cave? We had just found a spot to park. I hopped out of the car and ran down the beach. I stopped in amazement, I could hear massive waves crashing against the beach shore.

I had an awesome idea I said to Dad “Why don’t we build a hut?”
Dad and I scoured the beach for materials that we could use. I yelled out to dad “Dad, Dad I see a piece of driftwood that would be good”.
Dad helped  me lift up the colossal piece of wood. We dragged it over to where the rest of the other wood that we had found was. From the items that we had found †we constructed a masterpiece of a hut.

I could hear the faint sound of a seagull whistling in the wind.
I tripped on something. I looked down it was a jersey covered in sand.
I picked it up and ran over to the hut. I said to Dad “I have an idea!”.
Dad helped me rip three squares,  it had to be perfect or else it would not stay in the wind. I looked around to see if I could find anything to make a flag pole out of. I saw three pieces of driftwood that were somehow combined. Dad helped me sit it upright. We tied the flags onto the driftwood. We sat the flags next to the hut. There... it looked awesome!

I crawled inside the hut and asked Dad if we could have lunch in there. He said no but I was not disappointed. I looked around again to see if I could find any glass bottles that we could maybe use for a chandelier. The tide was starting to come in so Dad and I both agreed that we should start to head home.

This was a great day and awesome memory of you and me having fun together.

Happy Fathers day Dad I hope that you even joy your day of relaxation and chill…

3D Printing In GRi11 2.0

This me uploading my design to the 3D printer.

This the finished product (headphone hooks).

A computer that I used to make my design. And the 3D printer (right).
Today I did some 3D printing with Mr R. My task was to create a hook that can be screwed into the wall so that our classes head phones could be hung up.

Before we 3D print anything we must use a website called Project Ignite to access Tinker Cad. With Tinker CAD you can make anything the only limit is your imagination. In Tinker CAD we design our creation using CAD. CAD stands for Computer Aided Design. Once we have finished our design (which can take hours) we export it as an STL file.

3D printing uses 100% plastic to print the object. It can come in different colours like blue green white and so on. Once the printer is warmed up we upload the STL file using the UP! software and print our design. Printing can take up to hours depending on the size of the object and the fill.

I really enjoyed designing the headphone hooks because it is so fun, there are no limitations YOU CAN LITERALLY MAKE ANYTHING WITH 3D PRINTING.

My Holiday Haiku

This is my Haiku poem that I did about my holidays. Haiku is a poem that has only a few words. Can you guess what I did over my holidays?
